SMILE Programs

Program Goals

Each school year, more than 1,000 Oregon students in grades 4–12 participate in SMILE’s precollege programming. SMILE after-school clubs and enrichment activities are designed to provide students in rural schools with engaging, hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The program helps students build STEM skills, explore career pathways, and prepare for postsecondary education. Through consistent, high-quality programming and strong school partnerships, SMILE supports long-term student interest and achievement in STEM fields and careers.
